We will be showing every game of The Six nations on our 51inch television in the bar. England first kick off is 4.50pm on Saturday 6th February so why not come and join us!
Founded in 1995, The Grainstore Brewery is located in an old Victorian grain store situated next to Oakham Railway Station. We are currently selling The Grainstore's Red Kite. With the introduction of the Osprey Project at nearby Rutland Water, the area has become a Mecca for Bird of Prey spotters. We are also serving a range of Grainstore Cider's behind the bar as well.
By adding Red Kite to our selction of drafts ales, it means we now how 3 local ales.
These four new rooms are located in the old brewery and are small but perfectly formed. They have recently been converted to the highest possible standard and offer en suite shower or bath, queen size beds, tea and coffee making facilities and wifi. They are quietly located opposite the main building.
We have tried to use local companies where possible to decorate these rooms, the beds and bedding is from The Wool Room in Stamford www.thewoolroom.com. The mugs and jugs used in the room are by local artist Sophie Allport www.sophieallport.com
This week we are introducing out new wine list which has been compiled by Amps Fine Wines from Oundle. It is great to be using a local supplier who will be able to offer us support for our wine tastings and wine dinners. They are a family bussiness that has been trading for four generations from their Northamptonshire base. Moving forward we are hoping to offer a retail wine list offering some of their fine wines for you to be able to enjoy at home.
Work is well underway on the conversion of the old bewery into four new bedrooms. This will give us 10 bedrooms in total. The completion date with be the 1st June so please get in touch if you would fancy being one of our first guests.
