About Us

Michael and Sue, the brother and sister partnership at The White Hart are local to Stamford and were brought up on the family farm in Tallington. Both Michael and Sue have taken elements of the farm that they are passionate about and they can be seen throughout The Whhite Hart  through local produce and through the attention to detail which was been put into all elements of the hotel, from shower heads in the bathrooms, to the quality of soft furnishings in the bedrooms to the artwork in the bar and lounges. Michael’s love of farming ensures that most of the lamb, beef and pork used at The White Har have been reared at Tallington. Sue’s passion for gardening means that The Courtyard is always immaculate with seasonal flowers in abundance. This ensures that there are always freshly cut flowers around the hotel to give a warm welcome to all our guests.

Sue and Michael’s brother grows asparagus on the farm, allowing The White Hart to boast the first crop of Tallington asparagus in town. An asparagus menu is available throughout the season, along with bunches available on sale at reception and from the bar for you to enjoy at home.

Tallington blackberries, apples, walnuts and crab apples feature regularly on the menu at The White Hart ensuring that as much produce as possible is not only seasonal but locally sourced.
